Hungry – the Diet Killer 4 Easy Steps

Diets are not easy! Here 4 simple things you can do right to help you feel full while you are dieting.

1 Increase the right kind of fiber in your diet 

When it comes to fiber intake for weight loss one should focus consuming certain fiber sources. Research shows eating more fiber that is viscous (thickens when added to water) will aid in weight loss. Good sources of this kind of fiber come from beans (legumes), flax seeds, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, and oats.  Try and include more of these types of foods in your Bites Diet.

2 Drink more water

Recent studies show that you can lose weight just by drinking 12-16 ounces of water before you eat. Researchers found that people ate fewer calories when they did this because they had less of an appetite.

3 Eat fewer carbohydrates

Another study points out that eating less carbohydrates even without counting calories naturally led to less calories eaten because the participants weren’t hungry. Eating fewer carbohydrates and more fat and protein will help you feel fuller and ultimately eat fewer calories leading to weight loss.

4 Get more sleep

We all know how we feel when we don’t get a good night’s sleep…Horrible! Well research shows that people who don’t get much sleep tend to gain more weight than those who do. One simple thing you can do tonight to get better sleep is turn off the TV before bed. Televisions, lights, and phone or computer screens give off a blue light that interferes with your body’s natural production of melatonin which is a hormone that gets you tired and ready for sleep.
